*Arise Crossover* might seem like a straightforward game at first glance, where you collect Shadow units to attack enemies who can't fight back, aiming to get even stronger Shadows. However, reaching the endgame can leave even the most dedicated players puzzled about progression, leveling, and optimal Shadow choices. If you're one of those players, this guide is here to help you navigate the intricacies of *Arise Crossover*.
How Shadows Work in Arise Crossover

Each of the three islands in Arise Crossover features several recruitable Shadows and one formidable dungeon Shadow. The game categorizes Shadows by types, with Soondoo being the weakest unit available from the start, while Mifalcon, found on Brum Island, is the strongest.

However, it's not just about types; ranks play a crucial role. A Rank A Soondoo can outperform a Rank D Mifalcon due to the ability of higher-ranked units to level up further. For instance, a Rank D unit can only reach Level 75, whereas an SS Unit can level up to Level 200. Therefore, the ultimate team would ideally consist of four SS Mifalcons, but building up to that is part of the challenge and fun.
Arise Crossover Dungeon Guide

Dungeon Portals in Arise Crossover spawn every 30 minutes and remain active for 15 minutes. Even if you enter a dungeon just before it closes, you can complete it as if entering a separate game instance. These portals can appear in various locations across each island with varying difficulty ranks.
When starting out, aim to assemble a team of Rank D units and tackle a Rank D or C dungeon on Leveling Island. This approach helps you acquire a solid group of units, including the possibility of recruiting rare (boss) Shadow Units. Dungeons are your primary source for recruiting Rare Units and common units above Rank C.

Once you receive a notification about a portal spawning, go for it. Even if your team isn't strong enough, stand by the portal and wait for others to join. Often, more experienced players who can solo these dungeons are willing to help boost you through. This community support is essential for progressing and recruiting higher-ranked Shadows. We ourselves benefited from a kind player who guided us through a Rank A dungeon with our Rank C units, enabling us to recruit Rank A units and reach the endgame. We encourage you to pay it forward and help others, just as we did with players having Rank D units in Rank S dungeons.
Arise Crossover Weapons

Currently, in the Beta phase, player weapons are largely ineffective. They might offer minimal damage at the start, but by the time you reach the second island, their impact becomes negligible. The Iron Kando Blade, the most powerful common weapon, costs 60 million and deals 516,1K damage, while your units can deliver 200 to 400 million damage. Unless you have money to spare, it's wise to hold off on weapon purchases until future updates potentially enhance their utility.
How to Get a Mount in Arise Crossover
Screenshot by The Escapist
Just like dungeons, wild mounts spawn every 15 minutes. Only one player per server can attempt to claim each mount. A server-wide message alerts players to new spawns, though you won't always know when someone else claims it or if it disappears.
Mounts can appear in six different locations: on the back of main islands or on smaller side islands between major ones. Use the developer’s map to track these spawn locations.

You cannot claim the same mount more than once, and capturing can fail. Flying mounts are the rarest, with a 10% spawn chance, while ground mounts appear frequently, and water mounts can be purchased from the Boat Shop NPC. To get a mount, watch for the server message and race to the six potential spawn locations. While mounts aren't necessary for progression, having a flying mount can significantly ease travel.
