One of the franchise's iconic figures, Napoleon Bonaparte, is set to make a triumphant return in *Civilization 7* (*Civ 7*). However, unlocking him as a leader involves a few additional steps that you need to follow. Here's how you can get Napoleon in two distinct personas: Emperor and Revolutionary.

How to Get Napoleon, Emperor

Unlocking the Emperor Persona for Napoleon in *Civilization 7* is straightforward. All you need to do is create a 2K Account. Follow these steps:

• Visit portal.2k.com.
• Log in to your existing account or sign up for a new one.
• Link your 2K Account to the platform you're using by navigating to Connections -> Account Overview.

That's it! You've now unlocked the Emperor Persona for Napoleon in *Civ 7*. This leader excels in both commerce and military might, and comes with a unique ability, Empereur des Francais. This ability provides a Unique Sanction called Continental System, which reduces the Trade Route limit of the targeted leader to all other leaders by 1, causes a massive Relationship penalty, and costs more to reject. Additionally, you'll gain +8 Gold per Age for every leader you are Unfriendly or Hostile with, and you can reject Endeavors for free.

The Emperor Persona also follows an agenda known as the Napoleonic Code. This means Napoleon will have a better relationship with the player who has the smallest standing army and a worse relationship with the player who has the largest standing navy.

How to Get Napoleon, Revolutionary

If the Emperor Persona doesn't suit your playstyle, you can also unlock Napoleon's Revolutionary Persona. To do this, you must have previously played *Civilization 6*. Here's what you need to do:

• Follow the same process to link your 2K Account to your game, ensuring you link both *Civ 6* and *Civ 7*.
• Once linked, start *Civ 7*, and you'll have access to the Revolutionary Persona of Napoleon.

Note that you don't need to have played *Civ 6* on the same platform as *Civ 7* for this to work.

The Revolutionary Persona of Napoleon focuses on cultural and militaristic strategies, featuring an ability called La Grande Armee. This ability grants +1 Movement for all Land Units and provides Culture equal to 50% of an enemy unit's Combat Strength upon defeating it.

This persona follows an agenda called Culture from Conquest, where Napoleon dislikes leaders with many alliances but enjoys a relationship bonus with the player who has the highest Culture Per Turn.
