Excitement is building among Call of Duty Warzone fans as we approach March 10, 2025, the date when we'll finally get more details about the much-anticipated return of the beloved Verdansk map. Activision had previously hinted at Verdansk's comeback last August, but only with a broad "spring 2025" timeline. Now, a visit to the Call of Duty shop reveals a countdown to March 10, accompanied by a pop-up titled "The Verdansk Collection," as reported by InsiderGaming.

The teaser features a simple, tri-color sketch depicting an alpine scene complete with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane. These elements will be instantly recognizable to anyone who's explored the original Warzone sandbox before it evolved into Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and was later replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to revisit Verdansk is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.

This news comes as a pleasant surprise for fans, especially after being told in 2021 that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back." The anticipation for Verdansk's return is palpable among the community.

In other Call of Duty news, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 2 is now live, introducing five new Multiplayer maps: Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind. It also brings back the fan-favorite Gun Game mode, along with new weapons and operators. A highlight of the season is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event, which, while exciting, comes with a hefty price tag.

Meanwhile, Warzone itself has seen less new content than initially planned. The development team is currently focusing on addressing critical issues, including gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements to enhance the overall player experience.
