PainterSVG

Free application for editing and creating Scalable Vector Graphics.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a W3C open standard for vector-based images. Unlike bitmap images composed of a fixed grid of pixels, vector graphics are defined by a set of shapes and their properties. A key advantage of SVG is its scalability—images can be resized without any loss of detail or clarity.

PainterSVG is a dedicated editor for creating and modifying SVG images. It offers the following capabilities:

- Create and edit basic shapes including lines, circles, and rectangles

- Create and edit paths, supporting straight, cubic, and quadratic line types, with intuitive dragging of stop points and control points for easy adjustments

- Simple controls to define stroke and fill properties for all shapes and paths

- Support for fill types including solid color, linear gradients, and radial gradients

- Intuitive selection, drag-to-move, resizing, and rotation of elements

- Easy zoom in and out functionality

- Ability to group and ungroup elements

- Read from and write to external SVG files

- Export to PNG files (with transparent background) or JPG files (with white background)
