Piston supports OBD-II (OBDII, OBD2) and EOBD standards. OBD2 compliance is mandated for US vehicles from 1996 onwards. In the EU, EOBD became mandatory for petrol cars in 2001 and diesel cars in 2004. Australia and New Zealand adopted OBD2 for petrol cars from 2006 and diesel cars from 2007.
