WPSApp: Secure Your WiFi Network – Check for Vulnerabilities

WPSApp assesses your WiFi network's security using the WPS protocol. This protocol enables WiFi connection via an 8-digit PIN, often pre-set on the router. However, many routers have known or easily calculable PINs, creating a security vulnerability.

WPSApp leverages known PIN generation algorithms and default PINs to test connections and identify vulnerabilities. It also calculates default keys for certain routers, displays stored WiFi passwords (requires root access), scans connected devices, and analyzes WiFi channel quality.

Network scan results are color-coded:

• Red cross: Secure networks; WPS disabled or default password unknown.
• Question mark: WPS enabled, but PIN unknown; the app tests common PINs.
• Green tick: Likely vulnerable; WPS enabled and connection PIN known, or WPS disabled but password known.

Important Considerations:

• Root Access: Root access is required to view passwords (Android 9/10 and above, and for some advanced features).
• Accuracy: Not all networks showing vulnerability are actually compromised. Router firmware updates often patch these flaws.
• Legal Disclaimer: Unauthorized network access is illegal. Use this app responsibly and only on your own network. The developer is not liable for misuse.
• Android Version Compatibility: Android 6 (Marshmallow) requires location permissions (per Google's requirements). Some Samsung models may encrypt passwords, displaying hexadecimal values instead of plain text. LG models with Android 7 (Nougat) may have PIN connection issues due to LG software.
