Ubisoft has released a new trailer showcasing the impressive PC features of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The trailer highlights support for cutting-edge upscaling technologies like DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ensuring optimal performance across a range of hardware. Players can also expect stunning visuals with ray tracing features including RTGI and RT Reflections, and ultra-wide monitor support for an immersive experience. Extensive settings are also included to allow for smooth gameplay even on lower-spec PCs, complemented by a built-in benchmark tool for easy performance testing.
Minimum specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, coupled with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8 GB) graphics card. High-end players aiming for 4K resolution at 60 FPS with ultra settings and advanced ray tracing will need an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and a powerful RTX 4090 (24 GB) graphics card.
Ubisoft has partnered with Intel to optimize Assassin's Creed Shadows for their processors, promising strong performance. Post-launch performance assessments on AMD systems will follow. The developers are aiming to address past stuttering issues that plagued previous entries in the series; Mirage showed significant improvements in this area compared to Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, raising hopes for a smoother experience in Shadows.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20th for PC and consoles.
