You'll first meet Rompopolo in Chapter 2, during Mission 2-1: Toward Fervent Fields, within the Oilwell Basin. Defeating it is key to progressing your journey to Azuz City. Once conquered (even once), its entry will be added to your Large Monster Field Guide. You can rematch Rompopolo repeatedly by exploring the Oilwell Basin or tackling the "Oilwell Basin Blast" Optional Quest from your Tent.
