Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.

A GoFundMe page, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 for medical expenses and outstanding bills, features a video message from Johnson himself, revealing he was in a coma.

In the video, Johnson expresses profound gratitude for the outpouring of support: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you." He recounts the events, stating, "Rumors of my demise weren't exaggerated. It was very close. But I'm still here." His wife's quick thinking in contacting the hotel, leading to emergency services intervening, was instrumental in saving his life. He spent five days in a coma.

Johnson extends heartfelt thanks to numerous individuals and organizations: the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis for a significant $25,000 donation, friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker for establishing the GoFundMe, and Bethesda Studios for their public display of support. He emphasizes his deep connection with Bethesda, stating, "You say that I'm your friend. I am. Always will be. Love you guys." Finally, he expresses his love and appreciation to his fans, assuring them, "I'm not going anywhere."

While his recovery will be a journey, Johnson remains optimistic, concluding, "It's going to be a while, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing you all then. Cheers."

Johnson's extensive voice acting credits span video games, film, and television, but his most prominent work is with Bethesda Game Studios. Beyond the aforementioned titles, his roles include Prince Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, showcasing a remarkable career.
