Blizzard finds itself at the heart of another Overwatch 2 controversy. A new Lucio skin, the Cyber DJ, initially priced at $19.99, was unexpectedly offered for free a day later.
The Cyber DJ skin appeared in the in-game store, only to be revealed as a free reward for watching a Twitch stream for one hour on February 12th, during an event showcasing Overwatch 2's future.
This understandably angered players who had already purchased the skin. This isn't the first time Blizzard has sold cosmetic items and later offered them for free, leading to widespread calls for refunds. While the Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the store, Blizzard has yet to address refund requests.
