Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Streamlines Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has arrived, introducing a game-changing feature that simplifies camo progression: Camo Challenge Tracking. This handy tool significantly reduces the grind towards coveted camos like Dark Matter and Nebula. Let's explore how it works.
Simplified Camo Challenge Tracking in Black Ops 6
The patch notes highlight Camo Challenge Tracking as a system allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges concurrently. However, its true value lies in its "Near Completion" notification system. This feature provides real-time updates on challenges nearing completion, even those not actively tracked.
This new system allows players to select 10 camos for easy, in-game progress monitoring, eliminating the need to constantly check the main menu. The game also proactively highlights challenges close to completion, regardless of whether they're on the tracked list.

Tracking Camo and Calling Card Challenges: A Step-by-Step Guide
To add a challenge to your tracker, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation). This allows you to monitor progress during matches, streamlining the process of unlocking new camos.
Even without manually tracking a challenge, the game automatically identifies and displays those closest to completion. This information is readily accessible in-game for quick reference.
The Daily Challenges section in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 lobby also displays your top tracked and near-complete challenges, providing a comprehensive overview of your progress.
Improved Camo Unlocking Requirements
Season 2 also simplifies the process of unlocking special camos. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. However, two special camos remain a prerequisite for the mastery camos.
This adjustment addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly responded to player concerns, making the camo unlocking experience more efficient and enjoyable.
