Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Sony's State of Play February 2025 showcase revealed Days Gone Remastered, a revamped version of Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, launching on PlayStation 5. This enhanced edition boasts significant upgrades, including support for VRR and PS5 Pro, but the real highlights are its new gameplay features.

Prepare for a challenging experience with the addition of a permadeath mode and a speedrun mode, perfect for testing your skills. A refined photo mode and expanded accessibility options cater to a wider range of players. A new Horde Assault arcade mode provides intense action, pitting Deacon St. John against even larger hordes of Freakers than before.

Days Gone Remastered arrives on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Watch the debut trailer below:

PC players aren't left out. The $10 Broken Roads DLC will deliver the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and accessibility features to existing PC owners.

A PlayStation.Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Days Gone Remastered is optimized for PS5, offering Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience further visual enhancements and improved audio. DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are also integrated.

New PS5 players can purchase Days Gone Remastered for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as bonuses. For a complete overview of the State of Play announcements, check out our comprehensive summary here.
