Devil May Cry Anime: Release Date Announced

The highly anticipated Devil May Cry anime series has finally secured a release date, set to premiere on Netflix on April 3. This exciting news was shared alongside a new teaser on X, featuring the iconic sounds of Limp Bizkit, perfectly capturing the series' edgy vibe.

First announced in 2018, the series is a collaborative effort between Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and the acclaimed Studio Mir, renowned for their work on The Legend of Korra, X-Men '97, and more. The first season will consist of eight thrilling episodes.

While the plot remains shrouded in mystery, it's believed that the series will focus on Dante from the timeline of the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than the events of Devil May Cry 5. However, any direct connections to the games are yet to be confirmed. Fans will be delighted to know that Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who also lends his voice to Nero in the video games.
