A potential leak from GameStop suggests an upcoming Digimon game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, may be revealed during tonight's PlayStation State of Play. Gematsu uncovered pre-order listings for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on the GameStop website, although details remain scarce.

The leak's timing, just hours before Sony's 40-minute State of Play presentation, strongly hints at an official announcement. While the presentation's contents are unconfirmed, the Digimon Story: Time Stranger pre-orders increase the likelihood of a reveal.

The Digimon Story franchise boasts a rich history, beginning with the original Nintendo DS title in the mid-2000s. Subsequent releases, including Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (2015), Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (2017), and their 2019 Complete Edition, have expanded the series across various platforms. These RPGs typically involve befriending and battling Digimon.

Despite producer Kazumashu Habu hinting at a new Story game in 2022, fans have eagerly awaited a new installment. While titles like Digimon Survive offered a different experience, Digimon Story: Time Stranger promises a true continuation of the series, potentially ending the long wait for a new entry.
