Elon Musk approves: Path of Exile 2 has received a major update and a handy name change feature

Path of Exile 2's latest update, 0.1.1c, addresses several key issues and introduces new features. The Grinding Gear Games team detailed the improvements in a recent announcement.

Notable fixes include:

  • Cartwalker Machine Accessibility: Resolved a bug preventing access to the Cartwalker Machine after character transfers from solo league.
  • Local Cooperative Mode: Fixed multiple bugs in local co-op where Player 2 could inappropriately access Player 1's UI elements (e.g., high-level maps) and experience restricted movement between control points.
  • Increased Revival Attempts: Added up to five revival attempts in challenging areas: Distorted Possessions, the Olroth encounter, and the Essence of Nonexistence realm. Death before defeating the Host in The Mists now results in a revival within the boss arena, restarting the fight.

Beyond bug fixes, the update enhances player convenience:

  • Character Renaming: Players can now rename their characters via the official website.

Despite some initial launch challenges, Path of Exile 2 remains a Steam chart-topper, showcasing the developers' commitment to ongoing improvements and player support. Grinding Gear Games continues to actively address player feedback and refine the game experience.
