The Tachyon Medal is a crucial late-game item integral to a challenging and extensive side quest. Obtaining it is merely the first step; its true purpose unfolds later. Here's a guide to acquiring and utilizing the Tachyon Medal.
Where To Find the Tachyon Medal in Fantasian Neo Dimension
The Tachyon Medal is first mentioned in Shangri-La and is the final item acquired before the final boss encounter. To obtain it, progress through the main storyline until you reach Sanctum, located in the God Realm via the Communication Network. Within the Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable but conquerable boss. Be prepared for its frequent summoning of allies and its "Consume" attack, which inflicts significant damage (90% health reduction). Kina's healing abilities are essential, and Petrification Null gear is highly recommended.
Leo's Fire Samidare +2 proves effective against summoned enemies. Consider including Cherryl in your party, as her Concentrate and Charge abilities deliver substantial damage.
After defeating God's Predator, proceed to the Laboratory via the Balcony. Amidst the rubble, locate a chest to the right containing the Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal in Fantasian Neo Dimension
Activating the Tachyon Medal requires two prerequisites. First, reach the Altar in Shangri-La. Second, complete the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest. These encounters are spread across eight locations, with the initial two being part of the main story:
- En New District
- Midi Toy Box - Secret Room
- Royal Capital - Main Street
- Frozen Tundra - Center
- Hidden Valley – Duet Path
- Ancient Hill – River
- Nameless Island – Depths
- Shangri-La – Fallen City
Defeat the bosses in the specified order. After the final defeat in Shangri-La, three chests will appear beneath the Altar. One contains the Holy Belt, granting All Ailment Null.
Once all chests are opened, a glowing door will appear, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to rewind time. Possessing the Medal initiates NG+ from this point, carrying over levels, items, and equipment. While enemies are strengthened, this shouldn't pose a significant challenge, particularly if all side quests were completed beforehand. Using the Tachyon Medal unlocks the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement, allowing you to restart your quest to save the Human Realm.
