Fields of Mistria Animal Festival Guide

The latest *Fields of Mistria* update introduces the charming Animal Festival! This fun annual town event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your farm animals. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to participate and win big.

The Animal Festival, like other seasonal events in *Fields of Mistria*, occurs annually on the 10th day of Winter. Don't worry if you miss it one year; you'll have another chance next winter! This gives you plenty of time to prepare your animals for their big moment.

Winning the Animal Festival

The main event lets you enter up to two animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Both must be fully grown adults to participate.

Entering the Contest

1. Go to the festival grounds in town and speak to Josephine at the main counter.
2. She'll direct you to the booths behind her to register your animals.
3. Josephine offers valuable tips: higher heart levels for your animals boost your score, and rare coat colors provide a significant advantage. Increase hearts by petting, feeding, and letting them outside on sunny days.
4. Talk to Terithia (left booth) to enter large animals and Landen (right booth) for small animals. A menu will appear showing eligible animals.
5. Once you've selected your contestants, tell Josephine you're ready to "start the judging."

Prizes

A cutscene reveals the winners for both small and large animal categories. Winning against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) and Sunshine (cow) earns you top prize. Prizes are awarded based on your placement. Keep in mind that winning first place in your first year might be challenging, as it takes time to maximize your animals' hearts and acquire rare coat colors through farm upgrades and story progression.

Consistent animal care and farm upgrades significantly increase your chances of winning the Animal Festival in subsequent years.
