Charlie Cox's portrayal of Daredevil has seamlessly transitioned from Netflix to the MCU, sparking speculation about potential comebacks for other characters from The Defenders. Finn Jones, who last played Iron Fist seven years ago in the second season of the Netflix series and in The Defenders, has expressed his eagerness to reprise the role. In The Defenders, Jones' Danny Rand teamed up with Charlie Cox's Daredevil/Matt Murdock, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones.

Despite mixed reactions to Jones' performance as Iron Fist, Daredevil's successful integration into the MCU has fueled hopes for a revival of The Defenders. Recent reports suggest Marvel is "exploring" this possibility. At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he faced and appealed to fans and Marvel for another chance.

"There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen," Jones stated when asked about a potential return. "There's a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I'm very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I'm here and I'm ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the story that began on Netflix, which once hosted a smaller-scale Marvel universe through shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series, along with the broader Defenders narrative, are now officially part of the MCU canon and available on Disney+. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, another character from the Netflix era, also appears in Daredevil: Born Again.
