New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is over, and it's time to dive back into the exciting world of gaming announcements! While we eagerly anticipate news on the Nintendo Switch 2, let's focus on some fresh updates for a fan-favorite franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled a captivating gameplay showcase for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, highlighting its pirate-themed adventure in Hawaii.

The presentation showcased a range of features, including extensive ship customization options, thrilling open-sea exploration, intense naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse array of explorable locations. Goro Majima, a beloved character, will boast two distinct combat styles: a swift and agile approach, and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies to aid them in battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises a rich and rewarding experience with hidden islands and original side quests to discover.

In a welcome surprise, the developers announced that the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be free for all players. While not available at launch, it will be added via a post-release patch. This decision marks a positive change from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth release, where a similar mode was exclusive to the more expensive edition, a point of criticism for SEGA. With the official release date just a month and a half away, this is excellent news for fans.
