People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. The agreement, detailed in a report from People Can Fly, designates Project Delta as a work-for-hire title, but offers no further specifics about the game itself.

This latest project adds to People Can Fly's already extensive development slate. The studio is currently working on several other projects with similar codenames, including Project Gemini (with Square Enix, which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo (with Krafton), Project Red (also seemingly with Sony), and the recently announced VR Project Bison—their final VR project.

In December, the studio announced the suspension of Project Victoria and scaled back work on Project Bifrost. Earlier, in April, Project Dagger, an action-adventure title in partnership with Take-Two Interactive, was canceled.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly still has eight known projects underway, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day collaboration with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day remains unannounced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix partnership, was last reported to be targeting a 2026 release.
