Longhi, a veteran character artist who contributed significantly to God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök, recently rejoined Santa Monica Studio. His updated LinkedIn profile reveals he's overseeing character development for an "unannounced project," fueling speculation about a new IP. He specifically mentions "Supervising/Directing Character development...and also helping the studio to continually push and raise the bar on Character Development for videogames."

Further evidence supporting a new project comes from Santa Monica Studio's creative director, Cory Barlog. He previously indicated the studio was working on multiple projects simultaneously. This is corroborated by recent job postings for a character artist and tools programmer, signaling the studio's expansion and active development.

Speculation and Previous Rumors

While details remain scarce, rumors suggest the new IP could be a sci-fi title, possibly under the direction of God of War 3's creative director, Stig Asmussen.
