The game centers around Lila, a woman with the extraordinary ability to conjure universes from her very hand. The narrative begins with the player controlling the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment, landing in a ramshackle mining colony.

Exploring the colony's quirky shops, the Master eventually discovers Honin's Tea House, Lila's establishment. The mystery surrounding Lila unfolds as the player shifts between her perspective and the Master's, experiencing their intertwined narratives.

Playing as Lila involves a mini-game of universe creation, mixing ingredients to produce stunning visual worlds. The Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.
