KEMCO's Roguelite RPG, Novel Rogue, Hits Android

KEMCO has released a new roguelite RPG for Android: Novel Rogue. This pixel-art fantasy JRPG blends card deck-building with captivating storytelling. Prepare for a journey filled with magical books, strategic battles, and intriguing narratives.

You play as Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals, within the Ancient Library. Wright’s adventure unfolds as he dives into the stories contained within four magical books, each transporting him to a unique world.

One book leads to a quest assisting a princess knight in reclaiming her fallen kingdom; another plunges you into the mysteries of the underworld. Your choices shape these worlds, ensuring each playthrough offers a fresh experience.

What's the Gameplay Like?

Novel Rogue features a turn-based card battle system that dynamically adapts to the book you're exploring. Each of the four worlds boasts its own deck-building mechanics. Defeat enemies, choose from three new cards after each battle, and craft the ultimate deck to conquer challenges.

A "Change" command allows you to strategically shift damage between allies, while "Novel Power" lets you enhance your deck using ink. For those seeking a greater challenge, "Deep Record" mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty.

Collect treasures to strengthen your relationships with characters, unlocking a special ending. Customize your characters' appearances with Witch Stones, allowing you to select your favorite costumes.

Novel Rogue is available now for free on the Google Play Store. A premium version offers 150 bonus Witch Stones and additional perks, including an ad-free experience.
