KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Shutdown - Offline Version in the Works?

It’s the third day in a row I’ve been covering the end of service (EOS) for another game—and this time, it's *KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global*, which has officially come to an end. Today, January 30th, marks the game’s final day, with servers preparing to shut down permanently. So, what happens next?

How Long Did KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Last?

Developed by Sumzap and originally published by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global was a solid entry in the anime gacha genre. While its run may not have been eternal, surviving for 3.5 years globally is no small feat—especially considering declining revenues in the latter stages.

Meanwhile, the Japanese version enjoyed a longer lifespan, lasting a full five years. For a gacha title based on a popular anime franchise, that kind of longevity speaks volumes about its appeal and player loyalty.

Before pulling the plug, the development team ensured the game stayed engaging until the very end. Recent updates included fully voiced story content and even a special farewell song released just three weeks prior to shutdown. A December livestream added emotional closure, featuring none other than Kazuma’s voice actor.

In Japan, fans were given additional keepsakes—like a full archive of the main story on YouTube and an offline mode allowing access to story content, voicelines, and character collections.

Unfortunately, these extras won’t be available in the Global version. However, players can still visit the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the chaotic adventures of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the cast.

So, that concludes our coverage of the *KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global* shutdown. Stay tuned for more updates, including news on Karrablast and Shelmet in Pokémon Go’s February Community Day.
