The White Wolf is back for his final journey. Production for the much-anticipated Season 5 of The Witcher is in full swing, and fans have been treated to a glimpse of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt de Rivia. New and returning characters, including Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, have been spotted in what appear to be leaked set photos shared by the fan site Redanian Intelligence. These images showcase Hemsworth in the full regalia of Geralt, complete with the character's signature long blonde hair.
Hemsworth's casting was announced back in October 2022, marking his takeover from Henry Cavill, who had portrayed Geralt since the show's inception. The photos also reveal new additions to the cast, such as the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will play Emiel Regis in Season 4 and continue into the final season.

The leaked photos have sparked speculation among fans that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's "Tower of the Swallow," where Geralt encounters beekeepers and is directed toward druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the narrative could take any turn, leaving much anticipation for what's to come.
Cavill isn't the only departure from the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, will also not return due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement or an official release date for Season 4, keeping fans eagerly waiting for more updates on the series' continuation.
