Magic Unveils Deadly New 'Death Race' Set

Aetherdrift, Magic: The Gathering's newest set, plunges players into a thrilling multiversal death race. We have an exclusive sneak peek at two cards: Cloudspire Coordinator and Count on Luck.

Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon card, showcases the red-white archetype. Representing the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem (introduced in Battlebond), this creature boasts 3 power, enabling it to crew vehicles directly. Alternatively, its activated ability generates Pilot tokens to crew vehicles for you. A solid choice for red-white Aetherdrift draft decks.

Count on Luck, a rare enchantment, is a powerful addition to any mono-red deck. This 3-mana enchantment exiles the top card of your library at the start of each of your turns, allowing you to play it immediately. This "impulse draw" mechanic provides consistent card advantage, but requires immediate use.

Finally, we showcase Count on Luck's extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While extended-art simply expands the artwork beyond the standard card frame, First-Place Foils are a new addition to Aetherdrift. These golden cards are exclusive to randomized buy-a-box promo packs included with every Aetherdrift box, encompassing all set rares and 10 full-art lands.
