MapleStory Worlds: Mobile & PC Launch in Americas, Europe

MapleStory Worlds, the latest addition to the popular Nexon franchise, is finally launching in the Americas and Europe! Following a soft launch in late 2024, this new title is now available on mobile and PC.

Think of MapleStory Worlds as MapleStory's version of Roblox. It provides both basic and advanced tools, allowing players to craft their own side-scrolling adventures using familiar MapleStory assets. Create classic RPGs, shooting games, or simply social spaces – the possibilities are vast.

Enjoy cross-platform play between mobile and PC. While Nexon highlights monetization opportunities for creators, the core appeal for many will likely be recreating beloved MapleStory experiences with enhanced tools.

While I'm intrigued by MapleStory Worlds, I also harbor some skepticism. The game's charming pixel art is a definite plus, but initial fan enthusiasm seems somewhat muted. However, the promise of diverse experiences, ranging from platformers to zombie survival games, might make it more appealing as a standalone platform.
