Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Dark and Bloody Battle Pass
Get ready for Marvel Rivals Season 1, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! NetEase Games has unveiled the Darkhold battle pass, featuring Dracula as the main antagonist and a host of thrilling new content. Doctor Strange finds himself ensnared, leaving the Fantastic Four to lead the resistance.
The 990 Lattice ($10 equivalent) battle pass offers a wealth of rewards: 10 exclusive skins, sprays, emotes, nameplates, MVP animations, and a substantial return of 600 Lattice and 600 Units (usable for future cosmetics or battle passes). The pass doesn't expire, allowing players to complete it at their own pace.
The trailer showcases stunning new skins: Magneto as King Magnus (House of M inspired), a Western-themed Rocket Raccoon, a medieval Iron Man (Dark Souls-esque), a vibrant Peni Parker, and a regal Namor.
Here's a closer look at the Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:
- Loki – All-Butcher
- Moon Knight – Blood Moon Knight
- Rocket Raccoon – Bounty Hunter
- Peni Parker – Blue Tarantula
- Magneto – King Magnus
- Namor – Savage Sub-Mariner
- Iron Man – Blood Edge Armor
- Adam Warlock – Blood Soul
- Scarlet Witch – Emporium Matron
- Wolverine – Blood Berserker
The season embraces a dark, gothic theme. Wolverine's skin evokes Van Helsing, while a blood moon casts its ominous glow over New York City's new maps. Loki's All-Butcher skin is menacing, Moon Knight sports a black and white contrast, Scarlet Witch dons a signature red and purple attire, and Adam Warlock is clad in golden armor with a crimson cape.
While the battle pass is generating excitement, some fans express surprise at the absence of Fantastic Four skins. While Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, their cosmetic items will be available separately in the in-game shop. With such a substantial content update, anticipation is high for future releases from NetEase Games.
