Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, launching March 6th, 2025, promises a thrilling update packed with new content. Before the season officially begins, players can encounter the Chatacabra starting February 28th, making its debut ahead of its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Season 5 will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
This season brings significant gameplay improvements. Weapon balance adjustments aim to enhance the viability and enjoyment of all weapon types. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, simplifying targeting of breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward precise timing with stronger attacks, leading to more satisfying combos. The Guard skill also receives a much-needed upgrade; higher skill levels will now noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further balance tweaks will be detailed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
Beyond combat enhancements, Season 5 addresses a common player frustration: overflowing inventories. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an extra 250 inventory slots.
Celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-year anniversary on March 17th, a new trading feature will arrive. This feature allows players to exchange special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards, including Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
