Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

Author: Evelyn Mar 05,2025

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a PlayStation Network outage. The outage, lasting approximately 24 hours, began Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, impacting online gameplay and server authentication for various titles. In response to this "operational issue," Sony compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

Monster Hunter Wilds' highly anticipated second beta, scheduled from February 6th to 9th, was significantly disrupted. To compensate players, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session. This revised schedule runs from Thursday, February 13th, 7 PM PT (February 14th, 3 AM GMT) to Monday, February 17th, 6:59 PM PT (February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT).

Participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended beta period. Despite the previous network issues, players had the opportunity to engage with the challenging new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
