NetherRealm Studios unveils gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1's T-1000 DLC character and announces Madam Bo as a Kameo fighter.

The T-1000's gameplay showcases attacks reminiscent of Terminator 2, utilizing blade and hook arms, with moves similar to Baraka and Kabal. A unique liquid metal transformation precedes an uppercut reminiscent of Glacius from Killer Instinct. Robert Patrick, the original T-1000 actor, provides voice and likeness, featured in a clash with Johnny Cage. A Fatality recreates the iconic Terminator 2 truck chase scene.

Surprisingly, Madam Bo, a popular character from the base game's story, joins the roster as a DLC Kameo fighter, debuting alongside the T-1000. Brief gameplay glimpses showcase her assisting the T-1000.

The T-1000 becomes available March 18th (early access for Khaos Reigns owners), with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo launches March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a separate purchase.

The T-1000 concludes the Khaos Reigns DLC characters, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan. Speculation about a potential Kombat Pack 3 persists, fueled by the franchise's continued success. Warner Bros. Discovery's commitment to the Mortal Kombat franchise is evident, with plans to expand its focus on select titles, including Mortal Kombat.

Ed Boon previously confirmed NetherRealm's next project was decided three years prior, while pledging continued support for Mortal Kombat 1. While an Injustice sequel is widely anticipated, neither NetherRealm nor Warner Bros. has confirmed this. Boon cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to Unreal Engine 4 as factors influencing the decision to develop another Mortal Kombat title before returning to the Injustice series. He explicitly stated the Injustice franchise remains a possibility.
