Marvel Rivals' character popularity reveals interesting trends based on official website data. Jeff dominated "quick play," outperforming Venom and Cloak & Dagger. However, competitive modes showed different favorites. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis led the pack, while on consoles, Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis reigned supreme.

Surprisingly, the most popular competitive character, Mantis, also suffered the most defeats. She consistently outperformed Hela, Loki, and Magic on both PC and consoles. Consoles saw a wider spread of success, with 14 additional characters boasting win rates exceeding 50%.

Conversely, unpopular characters included Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine in "quick play," while Nemore occupied that position in competitive modes.

The game's recent surge in popularity, fueled by over 500 mod submissions in a single month, has also sparked controversy. Nexus Mods' removal of mods replacing Captain America's head with Donald Trump and Joe Biden images ignited a heated debate among users.

Nexus Mods' owner, TheDarkOne, clarified the decision in a private Reddit discussion, stating that both Trump and Biden-related mods were removed simultaneously to avoid accusations of bias. This action, however, has curiously gone largely unreported by YouTube gaming channels.
