Nintendo Store Sets Restrictions on Switch 2 Preorders to Combat Scalpers

Once eligible, they’ll receive an invitation via email, valid for 72 hours. However, there are prerequisites: users must have been active Switch players, logged at least 50 hours of gameplay since April 2, 2025, and maintained a minimum of 12 months of Switch Online membership.

These measures aim to deter scalpers and prioritize loyal customers. Invitation emails are non-transferable and linked directly to the Nintendo Account used to register. Additionally, there’s a one-per-account limit per accessory during the invitation phase. Orders will ship post-purchase, with approximate delivery dates provided upon checkout.
