CES 2025: Genki Unveils Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Replica, Hints at Design and Accessories

New images circulating from CES 2025 suggest a highly accurate physical replica of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, courtesy of accessory maker Genki. While Nintendo remains officially silent, the deluge of Switch 2 rumors continues unabated, fueled largely by accessory manufacturers gaining early access to specifications.

Genki, according to Netzwelt, showcased a closed-door demonstration of this replica, claiming it mirrors the Switch 2's exact dimensions. This provides arguably the most concrete visual representation yet of the console's potential design.

The purported Switch 2 replica showcases a noticeably larger form factor than its predecessor, boasting a screen size comparable to the Lenovo Legion Go. Images indicate side-detaching Joy-Cons, potentially confirming prior rumors of magnetic attachment. However, speculation suggests a mechanical locking mechanism might prevent accidental detachment. Interestingly, the right Joy-Con displays an unlabeled additional button.

Genki's motivation for creating the replica is clear: to showcase their upcoming line of Switch 2 accessories. The company intends to launch a total of eight accessories, encompassing cases, controller accessories, and potentially dock enhancements. Notably, Genki refrained from commenting on Nintendo's official release plans.

The increasing concreteness of these leaks strongly suggests an official Nintendo Switch 2 reveal is imminent. The anticipation is palpable amongst fans, developers, and publishers alike, given the current Switch's age.
