In a stunning display of skill and improvisation, a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner conquered the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the beloved RPG at the recent Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan—completing the entire final boss fight in just seven minutes with only ten minutes of total playtime allowed.
As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze entered the challenge using an existing save file without prior knowledge of Link’s inventory. With the goal set to "defeat Ganon completely naked and without any equipment," Ikaboze loaded the save file and dove straight into the final battle. Within minutes, Ganon was defeated—and the crowd erupted into spontaneous applause.

The feat becomes even more impressive when considering that Ikaboze had to use an unfamiliar controller and couldn’t hear the game properly due to the ambient noise of the convention hall.
“I was surprised by how many people had gathered,” he later shared. “Even staff members were recording on their phones. This was the first time anyone completed the *Breath of the Wild* demo, and the staff congratulated me.”
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Enhancements
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of *Breath of the Wild* introduces enhanced visuals and performance, along with new features such as achievements and support for the innovative “Zelda Notes” service via the Nintendo Switch Online app. If you already own the original version of the game, these enhancements won't apply automatically—you’ll need to purchase a $10 upgrade pack to access them. However, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers can claim both the *Breath of the Wild* and *Tears of the Kingdom* upgrade packs at no additional cost.
