Sequel Trilogy star Oscar Isaac's confirmed appearance at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo (April 18-20) has ignited speculation about a potential return of his character, Poe Dameron. The announcement, made via the official Star Wars Celebration Instagram, follows Daisy Ridley's 2023 Celebration appearance and subsequent confirmation for a new Star Wars film. This has led fans to anticipate a similar announcement from Isaac.

Isaac's relationship with the Star Wars franchise has been complex. Initially expressing reluctance to return (in 2020, stating he'd only do so for "another house"), he later shifted to a more neutral stance in 2022, telling Variety he was "open to anything." He's also been vocal about his disappointment with Disney's rejection of his proposed romance between Poe and Finn (John Boyega's character). Boyega himself has expressed similar past reservations about Disney and the franchise, yet also indicated openness to future roles.
