This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep

The Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect boosted encounter rates and bonus Dream Shards throughout the event. Shiny versions will also be available.

Catching Pawmi

Pawmi spawns on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant starting December 23rd at 3 PM. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have the "Snoozing" sleep type. Achieving a Snoozing sleep pattern (a common, light sleep) significantly increases your chances of encountering them. A Balanced sleep type also offers a chance, though lower.

Alolan Vulpix, appearing on Snowdrop Tundra only from December 23rd at 3 PM, is more challenging to find. Both Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails possess the "Slumbering" sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced sleep type also presents a (lower) possibility.

To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, focus on Snowdrop Tundra during the event. Note that Snowdrop Tundra has higher team requirements, so preparation is key.
