The expansion of Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) to a global audience is on the horizon, with the launch of a dedicated social media account for the English version. The developers hinted at a potential release date announcement during their livestream scheduled for May 15 at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus' official Western YouTube channel. The announcement was made via a Twitter (X) post on May 15.

The livestream promises an exciting lineup, including special guests from the game's cast such as Kaede Hondo, who voices Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, who voices Yui. They will be joined by key figures from the development team: P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, as well as Development Producer Jun Matsunaga and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.

Originally released in select regions in April 2024, P5X has been a hot topic among fans. Speculation is rife that the Western release could be announced during the upcoming stream, especially since the developers mentioned their plans for English localization during the game's first anniversary livestream. In their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12, Sega Sammy Holdings, the Japanese global holding company, confirmed that P5X is part of their roll-out schedule. The game is slated for release "In or after FY2026/3" (from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), with a target launch this summer.
