You must correctly identify the ghost at **42 Edgefield Road**, a house-style map known for its narrow hallways and claustrophobic layout, which complicates tracking and evading the ghost.

Tips & Tricks To Complete Survival of the Fittest in Phasmophobia

Upon arriving at 42 Edgefield Road, remember that you won't have access to standard evidence-gathering tools like Ghost Writing Books or DOTs Projectors. Instead, focus on the ghost's unique behaviors, movement speed, and ghost model to identify it.

Use the Parabolic Microphone to detect specific ghost sounds, such as a Banshee's scream or a Myling's frequent noises. Place Salt on the floor to check for a Wraith, and light three Firelights in succession to possibly reveal an Onyro. You start with virtually no setup time and zero sanity, making you immediately susceptible to ghost hunts. Sanity cannot be restored, even with the provided Sanity Medications. Expect high ghost activity and frequent events, which can help you identify the ghost's behavior. The ghost's favorite room remains constant, despite its ability to roam.

Most doors will be partially open, making it harder to pinpoint the ghost's location. However, the fuse box will be functional and on, and all nine hiding spots at 42 Edgefield Road will be available for safety during hunts.

You'll have the **Monkey Paw** as your Cursed Possession. Using it to "wish for knowledge" can eliminate incorrect evidences and ghost types in your Journal, aiding your identification efforts. Be cautious, as this wish will blind and deafen you and trigger a Cursed Hunt nearby. This strategy is best for groups, where one player can act as a sacrifice.

How to Access Challenge Mode in Phasmophobia

To access Challenge Mode, go to the Difficulty Settings in the Main Menu. Choose Singleplayer or Multiplayer to start a new lobby, then select the Difficulty tab above your character ID. Scroll to find Challenge Mode, select 'Apply', and then choose 42 Edgefield Road from the Maps board. Remember, you must complete the challenge three times to earn the full $5,000 reward, and only need to correctly identify the ghost each time.
