A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

EA has unveiled Battlefield Labs, a closed internal beta program offering sneak peeks at upcoming Battlefield titles. A short gameplay clip from the pre-alpha build has already been shared.

Battlefield Labs participants, bound by NDA, will test core mechanics and concepts—some of which may not make it into the final game. Conquest and Breakthrough modes will be available. Initial testing will prioritize combat and destruction, followed by balance adjustments.

Pre-registration is open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A few thousand players will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans for broader regional access later.

The developers state the game has entered a key development phase. No official release date has been announced. Development is a collaborative effort between DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
