Pokémon GO Announces Community Day Classic for January 2025

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic! This guide details the event, its bonuses, and in-app purchase options.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), Ralts and its Shiny variant will have increased spawn rates.

A special research story featuring Ralts is available for $2 USD. Completing it rewards a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters with Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) yields a Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day, this research lasts a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket is available on January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time) via the Pokémon GO Web Store.

Two in-game Community Day bundles are also offered:

• 1,350 PokéCoins: 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5 Lucky Eggs

Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic's monthly Community Day Classic features a different Pokémon each month (e.g., November 2024 featured Mankey). These events increase the encounter rate of the featured Pokémon (including Shiny variants) and provide an exclusive move upon evolution. Additional bonuses, such as reduced egg hatch distance, are also common. December's event is a special two-day event featuring multiple Pokémon.
