Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities in May and June 2025:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, bonuses, and gameplay experiences. In-person attendees can enjoy unique city-specific features, exclusive merchandise, and community gatherings. Expect rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny rates, and themed activities. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over

This event runs from January 15th, 12:00 pm to January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time). Highlights include:

• Rescuing Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
• The debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatching from 12 km Eggs.
• Increased appearances of Shadow Pokémon like Snivy and Tepig.
• A chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk in snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day: Shadow Ho-Oh

On January 19th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), trainers can participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky trainers can even teach their captured Ho-Oh the exclusive move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
