How to Get Fidough & Dachsbun in Pokémon GO

The Fidough Fetch event (January 4th-8th, 2025) marked the in-game debut of Fidough and Dachsbun. Fidough appeared as a wild spawn during this event, offering a chance for encounters. Additionally, it was available through Field Research Tasks and Collection Challenges.

Players could also obtain Fidough (and subsequently Dachsbun) through trading with other Trainers. Online Pokémon GO communities, like Reddit or Discord, are helpful for finding trading partners.

Since Dachsbun didn't appear as a wild spawn, Trainers needed to either trade for it or evolve a Fidough using 50 Candies. Evolving a Fidough with higher stats is recommended, as Dachsbun is a strong battler useful in events, PvP, and against NPCs.

Can Fidough & Dachsbun Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?

As of the Dual Destiny season, shiny Fidough and Dachsbun were unavailable. However, future events may introduce shiny variants, as is common with Pokémon GO. Until then, Trainers will have to wait for a future opportunity.
