Pokemon TCG Pocket launches Shining Revelry expansion and teases Ranked Matches

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has arrived, bringing dazzling new shiny variants to the game. With over 110 new cards introduced, the Shining Revelry expansion is a treasure trove for collectors and players alike. These new additions feature Pokémon from the Paldea region, adding an exciting layer of diversity to your decks.

As soon as the update went live, I couldn't resist spending my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. My excitement paid off when I managed to pull a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less spectacular. However, snagging a Pokémon Center Lady card brought a bit of comfort. This card's ability to heal Special Conditions could be a game-changer, especially when dealing with debilitating effects like Burn.

Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, giving players a chance to earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. Additionally, the much-anticipated Ranked Matches are now live, allowing you to compete against other Trainers. You'll start at the Beginner level and climb all the way to Master Ball Rank. Points earned will be displayed, and at the end of the approximately one-month season, you'll be awarded an emblem based on your performance. This is my cue to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some competitive decks.
