Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android! This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market. The game boasts diverse missions and modes, emphasizing tactical gameplay.
For those unfamiliar, Delta Force is a long-standing FPS franchise predating even Call of Duty. Drawing inspiration from the real-life US military special forces unit, it's known for realistic action, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry.
Tencent's Level Infinite has masterfully revived the series. Expect large-scale combat in Warfare mode (think Battlefield), extraction-focused gameplay in Operations mode, and a thrilling single-player campaign inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu (and the film Black Hawk Down), all coming in 2025.
Addressing Cheating Concerns
Despite high anticipation, Delta Force hasn't been without controversy. The game's approach to combating cheaters, employing aggressive anti-cheat measures, has drawn criticism. While Tencent's G.T.I. Security team is dedicated to the issue, the PC version's stringent hardware and software restrictions have been met with negative feedback.
While mobile platforms generally experience less cheating, this pre-existing controversy might affect player interest. However, the reduced likelihood of cheating on mobile could still allow Delta Force to meet expectations.
