Rivals Update 9 Introduces the Gunblade and Bridge Map as Nosniy Prepares to Add Ranked Mode

The popular Roblox first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the creative Gunblade weapon and the exciting new Bridge map.

Developer Nosniy Games detailed these additions in today's patch notes, alongside a few smaller tweaks. While a relatively minor update compared to some recent releases, it still packs a punch for players.

Rivals players appreciate the game's FPS mechanics and diverse arsenal, and the Gunblade fits right in. This unique weapon combines a ranged rifle with a powerful melee blade, offering surprising versatility in combat. The new Bridge map perfectly complements the Gunblade. This intense, close-quarters combat arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features a suspended concrete structure with limited cover, ensuring fast-paced action from the start.

Interestingly, Rivals Update 9 patch notes omit specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life improvements. The developers explained this decision, prioritizing the addition of the Bridge map and Gunblade. Minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins were implemented, along with renaming some weapons. Nosniy Games assures players that more substantial changes, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode, are planned for the next major content update.

"We appreciate all your feedback and want to assure you that all necessary improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the team stated.

• The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
