Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous co-leadership structure. This follows the retirement of Jim Ryan last year, which led to a split leadership between Nishino and Hermen Hulst.
Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.
Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, previously served as SVP, Platform Experience Group. He now leads all SIE operations and the platform business group. Hermen Hulst remains CEO of PlayStation Studios.
In a statement, Nishino expressed his honor at assuming the CEO role, highlighting SIE's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences, promising continued growth of the PlayStation community through IP expansion and technological advancements. He thanked Hulst for his contributions and expressed gratitude to the PlayStation community for their ongoing support.
