Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.
The festivities have already commenced with a new update. This update addresses various bugs, boasts a refreshed main menu, and includes performance improvements. Several classic homes in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a makeover. These updated houses are available immediately for new games, and accessible via the library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th. A significant update will introduce over 70 free items! Simultaneously, the "Blast from the Past" in-game event launches. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a new collectible set by completing simple challenges.
Further enhancing the celebration, a new season called "Motherlode" starts February 6th in The Sims 4. Details regarding the "Motherlode" season's content remain undisclosed for now.
