While the full lineup remains under wraps (though the official website mentions 23 characters at launch, with more to come), the trailer showcases a star-studded cast. Expect to see familiar faces like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, alongside fan favorites from Sonic Riders (Jet, Wave, and Storm), the Deadly Six (Zavok and Zazz), Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge, and E-123 Omega), the Chaotix (Vector, Charmy, and Espio), and even Blaze, Silver, Cream, and Big! Dr. Eggman, Egg Pawn, and Metal Sonic round out this impressive ensemble.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds takes customization to a whole new level. Recent social media posts reveal extensive options for tweaking your vehicle, from body parts and wheels to deep color customization of the body, tires, cockpit, and even its glow. Add to that 23 power-up gadgets to personalize your racing style and 45 unique vehicles, including the return of the beloved Extreme Gear from Sonic Riders—offering a boost-based, hoverboard racing experience. A closed network test is coming soon, giving players a chance to experience the thrill of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds firsthand. Registration is open from February 12th to February 19th, 2025. The test will run worldwide from February 21st to February 24th, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5. Complete the post-test survey to earn an exclusive in-game sticker and title.
