Following hints earlier this year, developer SHIFT UP has confirmed Stellar Blade's PC release for 2025. The decision reflects the growing PC gaming market and the success of similar titles. While a specific release date remains unannounced, SHIFT UP plans ongoing marketing and the November 20th release of collaborative DLC with NieR: Automata and Photo Mode to maintain the game's popularity.

This PC port joins a trend of PlayStation exclusives migrating to PC, but this trend also presents a potential issue. As a Sony-published title and with SHIFT UP's second-party status, a PSN account link for Steam might be required. This could exclude players in regions lacking PSN access.

Sony's stated reason for this requirement, as per CFO Hiroki Totoki, is to ensure the secure enjoyment of live-service games. However, this practice extends to single-player titles, raising questions about its necessity.
